Wastewater purification
Discover our wastewater treatment solutions. Reliable systems for locations without sewerage. Environmentally friendly and easy to install. Take control of your wastewater and opt for sustainable purification. Ecosave has developed the ECOROLL, a small, compact biological treatment in 3 or 4 phases. If a Dry Toilet is used, the IBA wastewater treatment can be 5 to 10x smaller than when using a flushing toilet. In short, you can already make big savings here. More information click here.

What is the difference between a Septic tank, a grease trap and an IBA?
A septic tank only collects the toilet waste water and pre-purifies it in 3 phases. He only gets 15-20% purification. A grease trap catches everything from the kitchen and/or bathroom and separates the fats and soaps from the water. An IBA will collect all the black (with toilet water) or gray (only kitchen and bathroom water) after pre-purification and then biologically purify it to >70-80%.
What is the difference between GWZ and IBA?
A GWZ is a gray water treatment and only purifies kitchen and bathroom gray waste water. This is possible if you have a dry toilet in your home or on board that provides the toilet material. This ECOROLL installation can be very small and compact.
An IBA is a treatment plant that collects and purifies all black and gray wastewater, usually with a septic tank and a grease trap as a pre-purification such as the EcoClean.
Does a GWZ/IBA use a lot of energy?
No, in principle the water flows slowly through the systems and only oxygen is blown in for biological purification. This only requires a few watts per hour. If the purified water can then flow out normally, into the soil or ditch, then no pump is needed.
Does an installation smell?
That is possible, it is a biological WASTEWATER treatment, so odors can be released. However, if the ventilation of the installation is made in such a way that it comes out above the roof gutter or highest point, the nuisance will be minimal.
